Residents throughout the NBVC JLUS Study Area had an opportunity to provide their input at the second workshop for the NBVC JLUS. The workshop was held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the South Oxnard Community Center (200 E Bard Road, Oxnard) beginning at 6:30 pm.
At this workshop, the public had the opportunity to prioritize the compatibility issues that have been identified for evaluation as part of the JLUS. The issues that were presented were developed based on inputs from the Policy and Technical / Advisory Committees (made up of representatives from the jurisdictions, agencies and organizations involved in this project) and public inputs provided at the first Public Workshop held on September 10, 2013.
The public received an overview of the JLUS, a status update of the development of the report, and participated in an interactive exercise where they prioritized the compatibility issues that were identified for the JLUS. The public voted on priorities of the NBVC JLUS by placing adhesive dots on large posters to indicate the priority of the issue. The priorities will be used to identify the timeframe for which the recommendations should be addressed.
